Our vision
From the artistic project drawn by Hortense emerge several societal aspects that we would like to address poetically through dance. Transgender and feminist issues are alive today, dividing society into several clans that pit against each other. Our wish is to ease these tensions. By means of the body in movement but also of what surrounds it - the costumes, the scenography - we wish to offer a vision on the concept of freedom and its paradigms, via a clean aesthetic. Likewise, technology is all those unconscious injunctions that enter us daily and without our consent, and cause us to behave in increasingly dehumanized ways with others. This subjugation, a kind of new soft voluntary servitude, must not be accepted as going without saying and must be questioned as a new relationship to the world. The visual projection and the sound environment will be an integral part of this dance piece, and paradoxically will be the means of showing what the limits are for us in this area. Indeed, the catharsis that will relate to technology will be done through technology, in order to show that it is not because we choose not to do without it that we accept the process in its own right. entirety. Finally, a focus on artistic work will shed light on the physical and psychological reality of the profession of dancer. Far from the usual representations where we are made to believe that art on stage must show the Beautiful, innate and free, we would like to give way to improvisation to free ourselves from any domination as well as to integrate into the project moments when the artist as a Being is in the spotlight, in his sporting, professional and individual performance.
